If God knows what we're going to ask for before we ask...then why ask? It's a logical question, and it's the title of a sermon we're starting today: Why Pray? Well, it's not to convince our heavenly Father, as we once tried to do with our earthly parents: "Please, please, P L E A S E?" We can glean some motivations for prayer from the text of Matthew 6, where we've been studying. And there are quite a few more reasons to spend time in dialog with the Lover of our souls.
