"All the fountains of the great deep [were] broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened." Water from below, water from above...and no escape except the one that had been rejected: the ark. In our study of Genesis we've come to the passage that explains the Great Flood. Science tells us "something happened," but the Word of God tells us what happened, when - and most importantly, why it happened. The lessons of this first worldwide judgment are too important for us not to learn.
