If a human being is going to have peace with God, someone is going to have to surrender! We are all born rebels. We stubbornly refuse to bow the knee to the rightful King of the Universe. We want our own way! But our war on God is hopeless, of course, and it makes us miserable. Then we hear the message of Peace; we're confronted with the gospel. Some choose to renew the fight. But for those who accept the divine terms, there is peace... and contentment.
