Our present age is like a train: it may seem to go slower or faster, but it's always "on track." For the original readers of Daniel's book, 2500 years ago, everything predicted in what we call "chapter 11" was in the future. The train has moved past most of these events now, and we can see that it has stopped at every station. We learn from Daniel's heavenly Visitor that the future, like the past, is already written. This train will reach its destination.
