When God promised, "I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh" - He was serious about that? Well, not ALL flesh, of course - the Holy Spirit isn't going to fall on unholy vessels - on unbelievers. So when the Jewish disciples saw Gentiles being immersed in the Holy Spirit, there was only one conclusion to be drawn: these Gentiles are saved. That's Peter's argument in Acts 11.
