Half of the Good News is better than none - isn't it? "For I am not ashamed of the gospel," writes Paul to the Romans, "because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes...." And then he catalogs our moral bankruptcy, and then shows us Jesus, the debt payer. That should sound familiar if you've been with us this week. But there's more power in the gospel than just the part we emphasize: the power to forgive sins. There is transforming energy, as well.
