Call His Name "Jesus"

"Although from the beginning He had the nature of God, He did not reckon His equality with God a treasure to be tightly grasped." That's an unusual translation of Philippians 2:6, but it seems to capture all the ideas in that verse: eternal equality with God, and a willingness to give up that treasure, rather than grasp it tightly - as we would. At Christmas we spend a lot of time with mangers and shepherds; Pastor Jim is giving us a higher vantage point. Today we'll open a sermon entitled, Call His Name Jesus.
